North London lift the first Mahajan Shield

Three days, three venues, sixteen mahajans. Pool at Harrow on 12 September, golf at Stanmore on the 19th, and Festival Day at Hertfordshire Sports Village on Sunday the 20th. Thank you to every single person who played, watched, drove, cooked, marshalled and cheered.

The Shield goes to North London

Collected by Neil Morjaria just before the community photographs at the close of the day. Every check-in at the desk earned a point, so turning up counted for as much as winning. The real Shield was not ready in time, so a shield from another competition stood in while it is made.

Nearly three hundred pictures from the day

Shot between matches by players, parents and committee members. There are as many pictures of the chai queue and the touchline as of the finals. Find yourself, and everyone else.

One field, one family. The festival song, with the roll call, the chai queue and the loudest uncles in the lounge. Listen to it and read the words in full.

The businesses and families behind 2026

Entry fees do not cover a festival this size. These sponsors close the gap, and they are the reason a whole family can still come for the price of a takeaway.

Donations in kind

Some of the most useful support never appears on a balance sheet. Breakfast on the table, tea in the urn, a shirt on every volunteer.
