Sports & formats

Nine sports, each with its own format and entry fee. If you are entering for the first time, read the two-sport rule below — it is the thing most people ask about.

The two-sport rule

On the main day you may enter a maximum of two sports. Within one sport, singles, doubles and mixed doubles all count as that one sport — so you can play badminton singles, doubles and mixed and it still counts as one of your two.

The pool tournament on Saturday 12 September is separate and does not count towards your two main-day sports.

The nine sports

Badminton

£10

Format: Singles, doubles and mixed doubles, in age categories. Group stage then knockout.

Bring your own racket if you have one. Shuttles are provided.

Table Tennis

£10

Format: Singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Junior and open categories.

Bats are available to borrow but most players bring their own.

Squash

£10

Format: Singles, over-18 and under-18 categories. Best of three or five depending on entries.

Eye protection is recommended for junior players.

Pickleball

£10

Format: New for 2026. Doubles format. Beginners genuinely welcome.

Paddles and balls provided — no equipment needed to try it.

Tennis

£10

Format: Singles and doubles, in age categories. Subject to court availability.

Played outdoors — bring layers and check the weather.

Football 7-a-side

£75 per team

Format: Team entry. Group stage then knockouts on the 3G pitch.

The captain pays the team fee, but every squad member must complete the registration form.

Indoor Cricket

£75 per team

Format: Team entry, 7 players plus 2 substitutes. Round-robin format.

Same rule: captain pays, every squad member registers separately.

Youth Cricket U14

£2 per child

Format: Round-robin, for under-14s. Softball, indoor nets.

Deliberately priced so no family is excluded. Parents must complete the consent section.

Pool

£10

Format: Singles and doubles, over-50 and under-50 categories.

Played on Saturday 12 September at RCT Hall — a separate day.

Golf is not confirmed for 2026. If it returns, it will be announced here and by email first.

Ready to enter?

One form covers both days, and everyone attending completes it — players, doubles partners, squad members and non-playing family. Entries close at 10pm on Saturday 5 September.
